Design Summary:

"Feel the Distance" is a collection of short minigames that take the player through the downfall of a dysfunctional long distance relationship. Players have to chase, worry, wait, and ultimately decide whether they want to continue trying, or address the truth about the fate of the relationship head on.

In almost every mini-game of "Feel the Distance," players are able to choose to end the relationship that they are in. To do this, they will be prompted with a break-up minigame, forcing them to physically tear apart their partner's heart in the process.

The only mini-game that does not do this is the "Alarm Clock," which asks players to stare at an electrical alarm clock for a full, real-life minute. There is no way to skip this, end it prematurely, or speed up the process. Players have to sit with their thoughts and make a crucial decision, will they continue playing, or end the relationship?

If players play through the game in its entirety, they will be ultimately prompted with the same break-up minigame, highlighting the painful but necessary process of ending a relationship when it simply cannot go on.

"Feel the Distance" was entirely solo-developed, with me doing the programming, writing, art, and storyboarding.
